Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy helps people explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with the support and focused interest of an experienced professional. From a Gestalt perspective, it’s about becoming more aware of your present experience—your emotions, thoughts, and body sensations—and understanding how they connect to your relationships and overall well-being.

One of the most important aspects of therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist. Together, you’ll work to raise awareness of patterns in your life, how they serve you, and where they might limit you. This increased awareness often leads to fresh insights and shifts in how you approach challenges. It’s not just about talking but also about noticing and experiencing your woundings and protective reflexes in real time, reflecting on them and sometimes experimenting with doing things differently.

The therapy I practice recoginses you as a whole person, not just a collection of problems to be solved. It’s about honoring your unique experiences, emotions, and needs while supporting you in finding your own path forward. Sometimes, it’s about processing difficult feelings or past experiences; other times, it’s about exploring ways to live more fully and authentically. Individual psychotherapy is typically once a week either at my therapy room or online.
